Shimano Tallus Stand Up Rods were born on the Long Range boats out of San Diego California for Stand up fishing the Giant-Yellowfin Tuna off the Mexico coast. These long-range anglers needed sturdy rods that could both handle the abuse a 300 lb. tuna dishes out and succesfully land the beast. This series started around 7 ft. in length and has gradually grown shorter as anglers realized that longer rods transfer more pressure back onto the fisherman. With the innovation of TC4 Construction and proven actions, Shimano has developed the ultimate line of Tallus Stand Up rods designed to stop the baddest yellowfin tuna in their circles. The end result? You catch more fish.  Further expanding the line of 6-6 1/2' rods allowing anglers on private boats the same fish catching technology.
