Shimano Stella FD Spinning Reels-
Re-Engineered for 2008, with Shimano's new Paladin Gear Durability
Enhancement, Propulsion LIne Management System, Aero Wrap II Oscillation,
and SR Concept components. The New Stella FD features a magnesium
frame and sideplate along with an aluminum rotor to maintain light weight
and high strength. The new Paladin Gear system provides for longer
lasting smooth operating drive train. The Propulsion Line Management
System incorporates a new design spool lip, SR one piece bail wire, Power
Roller III, a Redesigned Bail Trip, and S-Arm cam keeping the line in
contact with the line roller even during slack line conditions.
Overall the Propulsion system will allow longer casts, with less effort,
while drastically reducing the chance of backlash, wind knots and tangles.
