Shimano Tiagra 50A Reel
The Shimano Tiagra 50 Reel develops 28.5 pounds of drag at strike allowing the reel to be fished with a wide variety of line sizes and applications. The Tiagra 50A makes an excellent trolling reel for 50# line or can be spooled what a greater quantity of braided line and fished with a monofilament or fluorocarbon top shot for larger tuna and marlin. Shimano Tiagra "A" Big Game reels are the new standard for offshore angling. Increased strike drag, while maintaining freespool, make these reels excellent for fishing spectra lines and mono topshots. Smaller lighter tackle for large game fish. These reels are built from solid aluminum pipe stock that eliminates any frame flex. Anodized a rich gold color for great looks and excellent corrosion resistance. Updated features include Offset Ergonomic Power Grip Septon Handle, Permalube improves freespool, protection and durability of moving parts, chrome plated sideplate screws to improve corrosion resistance, indexed ratcheting drag lever for precision adjustment, eliminating the chance of the drag lever backing off due to vibration.
