Shimano Tiagra 30WLRSA Reel
The Shimano Tiagra 30WLRSA Reel develops 25 pounds of drag at strike allowing the reel to be fished with a wide variety of line sizes and applications. The Tiagra 30WLRSA makes an excellent trolling reel for 30-50# line or can be spooled what a greater quantity of braided line and fished with a monofilament or fluorocarbon top shot for larger tuna and marlin. The Tiagra 30WLRSA comes stock with Shimano's Long Range Special drag cam, so the drag curve is fairly steep from freespool to strike. This allows the angler to put a great deal of drag on a fish. This reel is popular with private boaters fishing Baja as their go to everyday trolling reel. Shimano Tiagra "A" Big Game reels are the new standard for offshore angling. Increased strike drag, while maintaining freespool, make these reels excellent for fishing spectra lines and mono topshots. Smaller lighter tackle for large game fish.
