Shimano Trinidad DC Reels are the latest to feature Shimano's Digital Control, allowing anglers to cast further and more accurately with fewer backlashes. Trinidad DC reels feature the same high speed retrieve and line capacity as the original Shimano Trinidad Family. The exclusive Digital Control system on Shimano Trinidad DC Reels is self-energizing allowing the spool to achieve maximum RPMs before engaging the break, as opposed to traditional systems (magentic or centrifugal) that brake immediately and do not allow the spool to continue accelerating throughout the casting motion.
